The opportunity

EY-Parthenon is looking for a Strategy Consultant to join our rapidly growing team in Amman. In today’s competitive business landscape, creativity is essential for sustained success. As part of EY-Parthenon Strategy, you will have the opportunity to deliver impactful projects that drive significant results in the region.

Your key responsibilities

Play a key role in managing work streams and engagements, translating client needs into project tasks and deliverables. Collaborate closely with clients to define the objectives and scope of engagements in consultation with senior team members. Spend most of your time working on strategy-related projects, including long-term strategy roadmaps, growth strategies, market entry and expansion strategies, go-to-market strategies, digital transformation projects, commercial due diligence, and greenfield projects. Engage with a diverse client base, including global corporates, governments, family conglomerates, and sovereign wealth funds, often working directly with C-Suite executives on their strategic and transaction decisions.

You will actively establish, maintain, and strengthen internal and external relationships, ensuring that the work delivered to clients is of the highest quality. As part of this, you will anticipate and identify risks and escalate issues as appropriate. You will also contribute to a positive learning culture by coaching and mentoring junior team members.

Skills and attributes for success

Strong analytical skills and the ability to develop business strategies using tools such as market analysis, customer research, macroeconomic forecasting, and portfolio optimization. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with clients and team members. The ability to collect, analyze, and translate large amounts of qualitative and quantitative data into actionable plans and goals. A collaborative mindset to motivate and counsel junior team members with diverse skills and backgrounds.

Qualifications & Experience

A bachelor’s degree from a top-ranking institution with outstanding academic performance. A minimum of 2-3 years of work experience, ideally within consulting or strategy-related roles. Proficiency in English, with effective communication skills in a professional environment. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Willingness to travel within the MENA region as necessary (approximately 25-50% of the time).

Ideally, you’ll also

Have an MBA or Master’s degree from a top-tier business school. Have prior experience in strategy consulting or in-house strategy roles. Have experience with a focus on client advisory or strategic planning within a professional services environment. Have excellent problem-solving, project management, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Have full fluency in Arabic, both written and spoken.
