Become a **maker of possible** with us. **Job Summary** We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Extrusion Machine Operator. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing processes and be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards. This position offers growth opportunities within the organization. **Responsibilities** + Set up, operate, and maintain extruders for continuous production of product + Monitor product quality, adjusting as needed to ensure specifications are met + Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance tasks + Load and unload materials manually or using hoists + Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines + Collaborate effectively with other operators and support staff to meet production goals + Document process parameters, product quality, and other relevant information + Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production efficiency and productivity + Availability to work overtime as required **Skills** + Knowledge of plastics manufacturing processes and FDA regulations related to medical device manufacturing a plus + Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot machine issues + Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques + Excellent communication skills and strong commitment to safety and teamwork **Required Qualifications:** + Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly and move around the production area **Preferred Experience:** + 1+ year experience operating extruders or similar machinery + Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite) and familiarity with SAP or comparable ERP systems a plus At BD, we prioritize on-site collaboration because we believe it fosters creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving, which are essential in the fast-paced healthcare industry.
