Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following essential job functions associated with roles in assembly and extrusion:
Extrusion Process Management:
- Set up, adjust, and operate extrusion equipment according to specified parameters.
- Monitor and control extrusion conditions, including temperature, pressure, and speed, to maintain product quality.
- Change extrusion tooling, such as tips, dies, heater bands, screws, and other related components as needed.
- Ensure compliance with production schedules and minimize downtime through effective planning and troubleshooting.
Blueprint and Measurement Interpretation:
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate production specifications.
- Utilize precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and microscopes to verify product dimensions and tolerances.
- Maintain detailed records of measurements and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Quality Control and Troubleshooting:
- Perform regular quality inspections and assessments of extruded products to detect defects and deviations from specifications.
- Make necessary adjustments to extruder parameters to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface quality.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, material, or process-related issues in a fast-paced production environment.
Material Handling and Equipment Maintenance:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport raw materials and finished products.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of extrusion equipment to prevent malfunctions and extend machine life.
- Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of scrap material and waste.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures to prevent workplace hazards.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) protocols.
- Participate in safety training and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in workplace safety.
Working hours: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
Skills:
- A minimum of 4 years of solid manufacturing or production experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with extrusion equipment and related tooling is a plus.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating temperatures and noise levels.
- Must be able to successfully complete a 30-60-90 day review program to demonstrate competency in job responsibilities.

- Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and specifications.
