You will work directly with the Quality monitor, optimizing machine capabilities, to ensure the production of high quality products for our customers. **Essential Job Functions:** + Promote a culture of safety first in all activities and have the proper equipment to perform daily tasks per safety procedures + Ability to positively embrace and implement changes as well as corrective actions + Run efficient production lines adjusting flour rate, steam, water etc. to ensure product stays in spec. + Continuously check the posted schedule for accuracy on bag count, raw materials, and packaging supplies + Problem-solving to ensure products meet quality specifications, including checking product and equipment frequently, making immediate adjustments or changes to lines when needed + Keep lines and production floor clean, free of debris, and stocked for the incoming shift. + Complete all necessary paperwork, read and understand specifications for all products and document all changes to the line as they occur + Needs to be able to run, set up, tear down and start an extruder + Work closely with team members to be more efficient, troubleshooting problems and helping find new or better solutions, ask for help when needed + Participate in and promote safety, quality and continuous improvement ideas + This position will be first in line to fill in for vacancies if supervisor is out and assisting the prior and following shifts for Extruder Operator vacancies as well as any other tasks assigned by the supervisor **On-the-Job Training Requirements:** + Complete ADM safety, food safety, quality and environmental training + Participate in company planned operations training + Equipment training may include but not limited to JLG, forklift, non-DOT truck, reach lift, etc. **Minimum Requirements** + Must be 18 years or older + Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship + Ability to read and understand tables and formulas and deal with whole numbers. Equivalent to a partial high school education. + Experience in Manufacturing and/or similar military environment (preferred) + Detailed oriented and self-motivated + Strong safety aptitude + Strong fundamental skills (math, reading, writing and verbal communication) + Motivated with a passion to learn **Physical Requirements and Working Conditions** + Ability to move about on a work site by ascending/descending stairs, extensive walking, climbing steps or ladders, prolonged periods of standing and sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling, or squatting frequently + Ability to operate equipment or machinery that may be located at different heights with open view grating from multiple elevations or in confined spaces + Ability to lift up to 50 pounds overhead + Ability to traverse two (2) miles or more during the course of a workday + Ambient conditions – Work area is, typically, a non-air-conditioned production environment.
