Job DescriptionYour contribution to something big:
As part of the Software Excellence Team (from a central function of EPM-SW Engineering Product & Process Management for Software) you will work on ways to increase standardization and automation in software development in close collaboration with all development teams at Home Comfort (HC). The focus of your work will be around the development, maintenance and user support for the tool topics with respect to Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) toolchain based on Jira.
Therefore you will:
Work on maintenance of existing ALM Toolchain based on Atlassian Jira and associated plugins:Keep the tool chain up to date (with latest stable versions);Ensure thorough tests are conducted over the updates to ensure all features are working as expected;Ensure that services are running with no/ minimal downtime.Support the continuous improvement of ALM:get to know the tools and processes from end-user and administrator perspective;work on Jira System Administration topics such as customized / scripted settings, automation jobs, workflows, ... ;give 1st level support to our developers.QualificationsWhat distinguishes you:
Education:Studied in the field of, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business informatics, Information Systems or comparable;Work experience in software and /or tool infrastructure maintenance will be good but not a must;Experience and Knowledge:Familiar with multiple aspects of Software Engineering (designing, building, testing, deploying and maintaining software);Knowledge of Atlassian tools JIRA including Jira System Administration, Jira SDK, API;One or more programming languages (e.g. Java, Python, ...);Knowledge of tools such as Bitbucket and / or Confluence;Familiar with usage of MS Office tools;Personality and Working Practice:Strong communication & coordination skills;Ability to quickly analyze, understand & describe complex problems;Result oriented way of working and willingness to steer discussions;Openness and creativity towards new technologies and possible solutions;Proactive and highly self-motivated;Languages:Fluent communication skills in English.Additional InformationDuration: 12 months
