A fantastic opportunity awaits you to join one of the largest hydraulic and engineering companies who have been around for decades. Our client is extensively involved in repairing materials handling machinery and repairs to hydraulic cylinders, pumps and motors.
The company is seeking an experienced and motivated External Sales Representative with experience in hydraulics or in the engineering industry. This role is based in the Kwa-Zulu Natal Province.
Job Responsibilities: Build and nurture strong client relationships by offering expert guidance, solutions, and product knowledge. Drive new business development through cold calls, site visits, product demos, and effective territory planning. Provide accurate and competitive customer quotations and follow-ups. Ensure orders and deliveries are effectively managed and customer expectations are exceeded. Support company goals by meeting monthly sales and GP targets.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements: Matric (minimum); Tertiary qualification in a technical or commercial field is advantageous. Minimum 2-3 years’ proven sales experience in hydraulics or in the engineering field. Strong customer service and relationship-building skills. Sound administrative, reporting, and route planning capabilities. Valid Code 8 driver’s license and own reliable transport. Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
