We are seeking Expressions of Interest for a Surfacing Contract Managers and Surfacing Supervisors to join our growing Whanganui based sealing team. With our Rangitīkei contract coming into effect, we are looking to expand our reginal capability and capacity, taking on a greater workload across the wider area.

Contract Manager – Surfacing:
As the Contract Manager, you will provide leadership and oversight across our surfacing operations. You’ll be responsible for delivering on contract requirements, optimising resources, ensuring profitability, and building strong client relationships. Key aspects of this role include:
Planning and directing operations to meet performance, safety, and quality requirementsManaging contracts from tendering through to delivery, including variations, budgets, and claimsBuild strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for growthDeveloping and leading teams, ensuring training, succession planning, and Zero Harm practices are embedded
Surfacing Supervisor:
In this role you will take a hands-on leadership approach, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification. You’ll oversee daily operations, manage people and plant, and support the Contract Manager to achieve business and client outcomes. Responsibilities include:
Leading surfacing crews to deliver quality work Monitoring safety, productivity, and resource allocation Ensuring compliance with Zero Harm standards Supporting contract performance through accurate reporting and client management

We are looking for experienced surfacing professionals who can demonstrate:
Proven experience in asphalt, sealing, or surfacing operations Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to engage teams, clients, and stakeholdersRelevant tertiary qualifications for Contract Manager position, or equivalent industry experienceStrong understanding of safety, quality, and environmental standardsCommercial awareness and understanding of contract performance and budgets Leadership experience (for supervisor and manager-level roles)
