As a Senior Cost Control Engineer, you will be responsible to play a critical role in monitoring, controlling, and forecasting the project's cost performance, ensuring alignment with the lump sum contract terms to support FEED studies. The position is embedded in a consultant engineering environment and works closely with project management and engineering teams.
To succeed in this role, you should have 10 years industry experience, with 5 years cost control engineer experience.

What you’ll do
We are looking for Senior Cost Control Engineer to join our project team for a FEED Offshore Engineering project, in our office Jakarta, Indonesia.
The role responsibilities include\:
· Monitor project hours and cost performance against the approved contract budget.
· Identifying variance and providing early warning for corrective actions to Project Control Manager.
· Review and validate cost inputs from discipline leads to ensure accurate and up-to-date cost reports.
· Prepare and submit internal and management cost report, including weekly and monthly cost reports, cash flows, commitment logs, and forecast at completion, in coordination with the Project Control Manager.
· Review subcontractor performance reports and validate subcontractor invoices against agreed progress and contract terms.
· Prepare and submit project invoices to the client based on terms and condition stated in the contract.
· Support the Project Control Manager in developing and implementing system and procedure for Project Control Function.
· Assist the Project Control Manager in preparing a detail progress measurement system to support accurate tracking of FEED completion progress.
· Coordinate closely with scheduling/planning engineers to ensure cost data is aligned with the project schedule and progress status.
· Participate in client meetings and provide updates on project cost performance and related matters as required.
*What you’ll have
· Bachelor's degree or equivalent
· At least ten (10) year experience in oil & gas industry, at least five (5) year experience in project control discipline and at least five (5) year experience in cost control positions.
· FEED experience as Cost Control Engineer for subsea engineering or equivalent project.
· Technical professional with experience and knowledge of project controls functions in the oil and gas or petro-chemical industries.
· Strong understanding of cost control principles in a Lump Sum contracting environment
· Experience working in a consultant engineering firm
· Working knowledge of EcoSys or similar enterprise project control systems is highly desirable.
