Downer Rail & Transit Systems (RTS) is proud to be a leading provider of Rail and Transport asset management services across Australia and has been selected as the preferred organisation to deliver the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP), the largest investment in new rollingstock in Queensland’s history. This legacy project for Queensland will ensure the design, build, and maintenance of 65 brand new trains, design and build of manufacturing facilities and depots, a huge boost to local manufacturing and supply chain and jobs for the community.

Rail and Transit Systems - Graduate Program 2026

Graduates on our 18 month – Fast Track Graduate Program, will have the opportunity to rotate and be part of a diverse organisation that is a leading provider of integrated services in Australia and New Zealand. We are committed to building strong relationships with our customers and our people.

Your development pathway will consist of:

On the job experience through engaging and immersive structured rotations with operational project teamsTraining and development through core development training workshops and education programsAnnual Graduate ConferenceOne-on-one mentoring, networking and buddy support

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in –  

Engineer - Quality/ Welding/ Mechanical

Finance- Cost Control

Systems Administration

Asset Maintenance

Zero Harm- Safety

Strong analytical and critical thinking skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProactive and results orientated mindsetAbility to work collaboratively in a team and independently

Interest in delivery of State significant infrastructure projects

About you:
