Downer is a recognised leader in Infrastructure Construction and Maintenance, with a strong commitment to digital transformation. Our Digital Engineering team is growing, and we’re looking for a Power Platform Developer to help us deliver smarter, scalable solutions across our contracts nationwide.
You’ll be part of a small but highly capable team of specialists in BIM, GIS, and Automation, working on some of New Zealand’s largest digital-focused projects.
This role is focused on implementing digital transformation solutions using Power Platform, with access to a wide range of tools including AI, and support from subject matter experts across the business. You’ll work closely with our Microsoft MVP Solutions Architect, making this a brilliant opportunity for career growth.

We’re after someone with strong technical capabilities, a collaborative mindset, and a genuine passion for innovation. You’ll be comfortable working independently or in a team, and keen to learn and experiment with emerging technologies. Alongside this, you will have -

Essential Qualifications & Skills:
2–3 years’ experience in Power Apps and Power Automate
Familiarity with SharePoint, data modelling, and integration technologies
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience (Master’s a bonus)
Foundational knowledge of relational databases and web APIs (SOAP/REST)
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Microsoft Certified: Power Platform App Maker Associate
Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Functional Consultant
We would also highly value the following certifications -
Microsoft Certified: Power Automate RPA Developer Associate
Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate
