\nWe are currently seeking an Export Compliance Officer to join our Corporate Export Compliance Center of Excellence team in our Seelze facility. Reporting to the Sr Export Compliance Manager EMEA, you will be part of a team who maintains framework of compliant exports with controlled substances, sanctions regulation and other specialized international trade topics. You will prepare regulatory monitoring, tie with stakeholders to design state of the art reliable and agile process for international trade and serving as trusted point of contact for government officers in cases of audits and more.
\nUsing your experience and project management skills, you will develop valuable, specialized knowledge, while sharing your expertise with a number of internal teams.
\nKey Responsibilities
\nSet up and maintain framework to ensure compliance in international trade, including trade with controlled substancesBe part of internal control environment by performing routine compliance checksResolve complex export issues, cooperate with internal Investigations Team where appropriateBuild professional relationships with government stakeholders, be partner to them when handling Honeywell license applications or performing audits, timely prepare and submit statutory reportingWork to analyse existing processes and continuously assess improvement needs in terms of data quality and controls over existing operational model of international tradeBuild cross-functional relationships to develop agile processes for cooperation and continuous process improvementsContinuous learning as regulatory environment changes, implement necessary measures\nIn October, 2024 Honeywell announced the spin-off of our Advanced Materials business to become a stand-alone publicly traded company, independent of Honeywell. Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs
Must Haves:
Bachelor’s degree or three years of corporate experience in lieu of a degreeFluent German and English (C1 and above) is a must!Exposure to export compliance through work experience, or an interest in compliance themes and willingness to learnGrowth mindset and resilient personalityCreativity and independent problem-solving skillsWe Value:
SAP / GTS knowledgeExperience in any of the following:\t\to EU Drug Precursor Regulation
\t\to European Union Dual-Use Regulation
\t\to Military Export Controls
\t\to US Export Controls (EAR or ITAR)
\t\to Customs Regulation
\t\to Sanctions Compliance
