The Procurement Organization includes a staff of more than three hundred sourcing managers, buyers, and analysts. Our mission is to deliver cost effective and valued procurement services through strategic, diverse, and sustainable business solutions. Our work requires close integration with all lines of business, finance, and our suppliers.
The Procurement Excellence Center (PEC) is a strategic function dedicated to driving procurement transformation, operational efficiency, and value creation across the organization. Within the Procurement organization, the PEC establishes best practices, standardizes processes, and leverages advanced analytics and market intelligence to enable data-driven decision-making. The PEC collaborates with all Procurement teams to enhance capabilities, improve performance, and optimize costs. Key focus areas include market intelligence and analytics, digital procurement transformation, risk management, supplier relationship management, governance, and capability development.
Position Summary
Conducts research, data analysis, forecasting and reporting in support of business decision making, strategy and operations. Participates in business process improvement, quality control and other initiatives. Develops, manages and coordinates performance and quality assessment, business process re-engineering, change management, communication and training.

This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and Oakland.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and the middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. This job is also eligible to participate in PG&E’s discretionary incentive compensation programs.
A reasonable salary range is:
Bay Area Minimum: $118,000
Bay Area Maximum: $188,000

Job Responsibilities
Works independently with guidance on only the most complex issues Develops new or revises existing data analysis to predict business outcomes selecting from various complex variablesExamines alternate solutions to a problem, effectively troubleshoots various issues and analysis, and provides findings and recommendations for internal clients and external stakeholdersPerforms advanced analysis, benchmarking studies, spend analysis, and needs assessment in support of the development of portfolio and category strategiesLeads process in requirement gathering, creation, implementation, and management of dashboards driving effective and clear visual managementServes as a liaison between Procurement and other departments (finance, business units) in support of Procurement analysis, KPIs, and data requests. Minimum
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Sociology, Policy, Engineering, Physics or other related fields or equivalent work experienceRequires a minimum of six years of job-related experienceDesired
