**Job Summary**
The Expert Field Service Technician is responsible for safely and efficiently executing field service activities at customer sites. This role involves working with advanced and multi-system technologies, conducting complex installations, proactively troubleshooting systems, and identifying and addressing safety concerns on both Company and Customer-owned equipment. The technician will interface directly with customers and may work at multiple locations and across various technologies. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential in this position.

**Qualifications**
**Education Requirements**
+ High school diploma or equivalent
**Experience and Skills:**
+ 3 to 7 years of relevant technical work experience
+ Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen
+ Construction background highly preferred
+ Experience in electrical, mechanical, diesel, and/or fusion systems (depending on business unit)
+ Technically sound with the ability to lead by example
+ Comfortable working with minimal supervision
+ Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office and smart devices
+ Strong customer service and communication skills
+ Ability to synthesize technical information and communicate it clearly
+ Able to derive insights from customer interactions to solve moderately complex problems in innovative ways

**Compensation**
The estimated salary range for this position is **$34 to $37** . Starting pay is dependent on several factors, including skills, experience, and work location. At **Xylem** , we offer a competitive compensation package along with a comprehensive benefits program as outlined above.
