Meet your team The BTP HANA & Persistency organization is a global organization dedicated to delivering data management solutions that address customers’ unique and competitive business requirements. You will work in a multinational team responsible for security-relevant services, as well as the overall security and compliance posture of the BTP HANA & Persistency portfolio. What we do Our services are designed and implemented using cutting-edge technologies, especially Kubernetes and Containerization. They are running at a large scale in all major cloud provider infrastructures. With a strong focus on reusability across the BTP HANA & Persistency portfolio, we are fulfilling our responsibility to provide an enterprise-ready unified data and semantics layer that ultimately enables our customers to build mission-critical, scalable, and reliable applications on top of our services. What you will do As a Product Security DevOps (Expert) Engineer (f/m/d), you will be mainly responsible for: · Designing, developing, improving, and operating scalable microservices that deliver critical security functionalities for SAP HANA Cloud · Enabling a trusted and secure environment for our customers, while ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements · Collaborating closely with cross-functional and internal development teams to align security goals with development priorities · Evaluating emerging technologies, industry best practices, and standards—assessing their relevance to SAP HANA Cloud and providing guidance on their adoption · Providing ongoing support and maintenance for deployed microservices to ensure high availability, performance, and security · Translating strategic objectives into robust and scalable technical implementations What you bring · A degree in Computer Science, Informatics, Business Informatics, or a related field · Proven experience in developing and operating microservices in cloud-native environments · Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Kubernetes and public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) · Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and cloud-native services · Experience with user access and identity management, including designing and maintaining secure access control architectures (e.g. RBAC models), enforcing least privilege and separation of duties · Strong knowledge of Linux OS hardening, secure configuration, and familiarity with FIPS compliance standards · Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or equivalent · Solid scripting skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript) to automate operational and security-related tasks · Experience with log aggregation, analytics, and visualization platforms (e.g., Grafana, Loki, Power BI, SAP Analytics Cloud) for observability and compliance reporting · Deep understanding of security and compliance requirements in cloud environments · A strong collaborative mindset with the ability to drive and position secure services across teams · Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal · A self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, automation-driven approach What we offer · A unique opportunity to work with the SAP HANA Cloud technology stack and gain hands-on experience in the compliance domain—developing expertise in state-of-the-art cloud technologies and secure operations · The chance to build and operate highly scalable, security-critical microservices, deepening your technical skills and industry impact · A comprehensive understanding of security and compliance requirements for cloud-native solutions · The opportunity to drive cross-project initiatives and influence key architectural decisions in a dynamic, collaborative, and future-oriented environment \#SAPHANAWorldCareers #k8s #cloudnative #gardener ​ **Bring out your best** SAP innovations help more than four hundred thousand customers worldwide work together more efficiently and use business insight more effectively.
