THE WORK
- Follow detailed instructions, ordinary drawings, prescribed procedures, and verbal directions to perform routine repetitive fabrication, assembly, and installation duties on a variety of materials, details, components, systems and aircraft.
- Operations include trimming, fitting, filing, fastening, adjustment, assembly and installation using a wide variety of standard and prescribed special tools.
- Assist with the fabricate of templates, jigs, fixtures, holding devices, etc., required to form, fasten, secure, or install details, components, and assemblies in or on aircraft and related support items.
- Refer problems of alignment, accessibility, etc., to higher grade mechanic, working leader or supervision.
- Assist higher-grade mechanic in the performance of more complicated work.

You will perform assigned routine assembly, installation and/or fabrication duties as required in the construction of experimental, prototype, and/or modification aircraft, systems, components, details, and related support equipment.

Basic Qualifications:
Requires use of simple shop mathematics, specified formulas and less complicated precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers and ability to work from simple drawings and sketches.
Up to one year or equivalent SIK experience

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
