General NotesAlthough this position may perform some work remotely (hybrid), as determined by supervisor and the needs of the college, the Experiential Education role will require primary on-campus in-person work. Flexible work arrangements that serve both job duties and team members are available in the College of Pharmacy.
This position will be required to travel to regional internship sites periodically. Will be required to work additional hours occasionally to complete time-sensitive projects or facilitate events and programs.
PurposeThe Experiential Education Program Coordinator reports to the Assistant Dean of Experiential Education in the College of Pharmacy and contributes to a collaborative and mission-driven team committed to preparing future pharmacy leaders through hands-on clinical education. In this pivotal role, the coordinator will help shape the student experience across Texas by coordinating and enhancing the College of Pharmacy’s Introductory and Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (IPPE/APPE). This role serves as a vital link between students, faculty, preceptors, and clinical sites, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experiential learning program.
ResponsibilitiesLead and coordinate the execution of IPPE and APPE rotations, ensuring they run efficiently and align with program goals.
Act as a liaison between the Experiential Education Office, Academic Advising, and the Office of Academic Affairs to support student progress and program integration.
Facilitate communication across all regions of Texas—managing rotation updates, facility access, and logistical needs between the central office in Austin and regional teams.
Serve as a trusted resource for student pharmacist interns, preceptors, clinical sites, and regional personnel—providing guidance and support throughout the experiential journey.
Assist with intern credentialing, ensuring that all P1–P4 students meet eligibility requirements to access clinical practice sites.
Coordinate strategic meetings, including the Experiential Council and Preceptor Conference, to strengthen program development and stakeholder engagement.
Drive operational improvement by identifying inefficiencies and implementing proactive solutions that enhance administrative systems and support the office’s educational mission.
Take initiative on additional projects and responsibilities that contribute to the continued success of the Experiential Education Office and the College of Pharmacy.

Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of experience in program administration.
Demonstrated ability to work with professional demeanor and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential records and apply judgment in sensitive situations.
Professional experience and intermediate skill in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, emerging AI technologies (ChatGPT or Copilot), and other information systems used in academic or administrative settings.
Additional experience and education may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree and more than 3 years of experience in program administration.
Proven experience in problem-solving and initiating process improvements within academic or administrative units
Extensive experience and advanced skill in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, emerging AI technologies (ChatGPT or Copilot), CORE Elms and other information systems used in academic or administrative settings.
Salary Range$50,000+ depending on qualifications
