VCA Knowles Snapper Creek is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant or credentialed Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join and help lead our compassionate, hardworking team.

Compensation: $21 - $30 / hour - Based on experience, skillset and licensure status
Schedule: Flexible full time schedule, weekend availability required

VA/Technician Supervisor Responsibilities
Full VA/Technician Skill UtilizationFoster a positive, collaborative, and professional work environmentProvide support and guidance to the veterinary technician/ assistant teamCoach associates based on need to aid in their successOversee ongoing staff training and skill development to maintain a high standard of patient careFacilitate communication of ideas, policies, standards and performanceProvide feedback related to associate performance and collaborate with leadership to develop performance improvement plansWork collaboratively with team members of all hospital services to ensure smooth communication, client satisfaction and patient careHandle complex client or patient issues in a professional and empathetic mannerMaintain skill efficiency and knowledgeHands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)Providing compassionate care for all patientsCreate and manage the technician work schedule to ensure proper coverage across all shiftsCoordinate time-off requests and adjust schedules as needed for adequate staffingSkills and Qualifications

Strong candidates will have supervisory experience, a positive attitude, a friendly demeanor towards both animals and people, will be detail oriented, have the ability to multi-task and can demonstrate the importance and understanding of high quality customer service to go along with our high standard of patient care.
