Core Motion is looking for an experienced engineer to help create Apple’s latest products and innovative features. This role is a phenomenal opportunity for someone that wants to implement first-of-their-kind motion features spanning everything from hardware to user experience! You will have the opportunity to take your designs through the full product life-cycle from concept to prototyping, design and launch of production software. **Description**
We are seeking a talented, self-motivated motion scientist to build Apple’s next-generation features and experiences using multi-modal sensing. In this role, you will ideate, design, and implement algorithms & models, while optimizing for power, memory, and performance. You will be creating and driving motion sensing-related features and interactive technologies that impact over a billion customers.
Responsibilities include:
Evolving and realizing the technical vision for CoreMotion and working cross-functionality to align on that vision with partner teams
Providing clear technical communication and guidance both for the team and leadership
Developing and deploying state-of-the-art motion features for low-power, embedded systems
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Domain expertise - MS, PhD, or 5+ years experience in mechanical engineering, computer science or related disciplines
+ Track record of success - Developed impactful features with a proven track record to optimally prioritize and deliver tasks on schedule
+ Strong product focus - Provided creative solutions that balance technical complexity and user experience
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Experience developing for embedded or real-time systems in C/C++ Deep technical knowledge of signal processing, motion estimation and system modeling
+ Experience developing interfaces between algorithms, software, and firmware
+ Experience with multi-modal algorithms, including IMU, images, video, and/or audio
+ Thrive in a collaborative environment and can clearly communicate while driving multiple projects across teams
+ Obsessively passionate and inquisitive, and seek to solve everyday problems in innovative ways
+ Laser-focused on the smallest details that are meaningful to our customers
+ Experience developing on Apple platforms
**Pay & Benefits**
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
