Serco is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced DevSecOps Engineer to join our team - (100% Remote). This role is critical in integrating security practices within the DevOps process, ensuring that security is embedded throughout the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and security best practices.

 

In this role you will:

Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines.Integrate security tools and practices into development and deployment workflows (e.g., SAST, DAST, container scanning).Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure secure software delivery.Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.Monitor systems for security vulnerabilities and respond to incidents.Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for new and existing systems.Stay current with emerging security threats, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

U.S. Citizenship requiredBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related fieldOr a High School Diploma/GED with minimum 7 years of experience in DevOps, Security Engineering, or relatedMinimum 3 years of experience in DevOps, Security Engineering, or related rolesProficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash)Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2)The ability to travel up to 10%

Additional desired experience and skills:

Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert, Certified Cloud Native Security Expert (CCNSE), or equivalent experienceExperience with secrets management tools (e.g., Azure Key vault, AWS Secrets Manager)Familiarity with zero-trust architecture and secure software supply chain practices

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $85,032.41 to $141,720.69; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
