Exercise Physiologist - Wood County School Consortium Clinics - Full Time
The worksite exercise physiologist is degreed and ACSM certified to work with medical referrals; demonstrates an aptitude and desire to work with medical referrals creating appropriate exercise programs. Works closely with site Medical Director tracking and reporting outcomes and metrics. Promotes fitness and an active, healthy lifestyle as well as site/company policies/procedures and membership. Assists with community and partnering events in and out-of-house. ACCOUNTABILITIES Works one-on-one with clients/patient referrals assisting with medical exercise programs and providing personalized training. Works closely with Medical Director creating/implementing clinical care guidelines and exercise programs per Medical Fitness Association guidelines for chronic medical conditions. Assists with development and tracking of metrics per MFA guidelines related to fitness and exercise; maintains and reports those metrics according to agreed upon timeline. Provides fitness assessments and equipment orientations for members and guests. Participates in site wellness initiatives, promotions, challenges and demonstrations as requested. Represents, promotes, and maintains MFA standards, policies and programming. Train and implement appropriate medical record usage as directed by Medical Director; maintain accurate patient/member exercise workouts and records. Complete required daily fitness floor activities, cleaning responsibilities, equipment safety checks, log sheets and reporting. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a fitness or health related field. Skills: Positive motivator, outgoing, friendly, good communication skills, desire to exceed, enjoys working with others to improve their health & well-being, good computer skills, competent skills in exercise testing/assessments. License: Valid driver’s license Certification: ACE, ACSM, NSCA, NASM, or working toward successful completion of certification (ACSM required within 6 months of hire). Must be CPR/AED certified ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE Demonstrate promotional and sales aptitude, have a strong affiliation with the product, excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, accountable for time, exemplify mission of ProMedica. WORKING CONDITIONS Physical Demands: Must be able to frequently move, lift or carry materials weighing up to 30 lbs.
