Position: Exercise Physiologist - Injury Prevention Specialist

Location:  Elgin, IL (iherb warehouse)

Type of Employment: Part-time

Schedule: Hours Vary. 8-12 hours a week. 2-3 separate days with 1 of the days including evening hours

Compensation: $30.00- $40.00, hourly, based on years of experience

 

Rush PT is currently seeking a part-time Injury Prevention Specialist/ATC for an industrial setting. This is for on-site Injury Prevention Specialist position at the iherb warehouse in Elgin, IL. This is a great opportunity for a certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), EMT, PTA, COTA or individual of similar background.

Responsibilities OnSite coverage for industrial customer under the direction of Account/Program ManagerEarly Symptom Intervention with providing first aid servicesDesign and implement injury prevention strategies for the industrial setting, such as individual and group conditioning, functional assessments and behavioral modificationHealth and wellness consultation and presentations Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

BS Degree in exercise science/kinesiology/exercise physiology REQUIREDPreferred one year experience, industrial setting experience a plusCardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificationExcellent written and oral communication skillsPosition requires a strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift; must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds dead weight alone.Ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a work day/shift.Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to evaluate, diagnose and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records, recognize people and provide directions.Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility and in the community.Possess fine motor skills for legible and accurate writing of reports, charting, scheduling, daily correspondence and presentations, either manually or through use of dictation equipment.Possess fine motor skills for effective and efficient handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment.
