Responsibilitiesmiddot Provides patient testing and assessment before and after rehabilitationmiddot Plans and teaches exercise therapy for patients utilizing test data patient status and current medication regimen Monitors patients response and revises plan accordinglymiddot Recognizes contraindications and abnormal patient responses to exercise middot Responds appropriately to all situations including exercise cessation and referral to medical professionalsmiddot Provides exercise information for patients peers and the community which may include public speaking and education classesmiddot Collaborates with physician regarding the exercise prescription for each patient Maintains in depth knowledge of monitoring and arrhythmia identificationmiddot Preparationof report on individual patient to appropriate physician Appropriately charts progress in Medical Records Maintains appropriate documentation of patient caremiddot Develops and maintains in depth knowledge of the departmental equipment Maintains equipment in optimal functioning condition in accordance with manufactures guidelines Provides staff with educational in service for proper and safe use of
