The primary responsibilities of the Builders Risk Executive Underwriter, Marine role include:
Responsibilities
Responsible for managing Master Builders Risk accounts with total premiums in of $100k or greater for assigned regionsWork with Marine TUM and LOB Manager to build out Playbook and Strategies to grow Builders Risk in Assigned RegionsAccountable for managing a renewal book between $2 M and $3 Min accordance with CI Marine line of business strategies and key account management practicesBuilders Risk new business production of $3M- $4MCollaboration with assigned regions/branches and all stakeholders in managing key accounts and driving new business opportunities for complex Builders RiskPartners with assigned regions/branches in building submission pipeline and target conversions in accordance with CI strategiesDevelops agency relationships to effectively manage key accounts and generate new business productionAbility to effectively work in a team environment with Industry Practices, Line of Business, Claims, Risk Engineering, Operations and across the CI field to achieve desirable outcomes and key account stewardship meetingsServes as a coach/mentor within assigned regions for Builders Risk expertise and market intelTakes Referrals from underwriters within their assigned regionsManages the execution of CI Marine strategies and overall portfolio management for assigned regionsPosition requires travel to local branch offices, meetings with agents/brokers, and key account insured meetingsFour-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or universityMust have at least 10 years of Builders Risk underwriting experience and demonstrated in-depth expertise in handling complex accountsUnderstanding of CI Marine products and appetiteMust have advanced knowledge of commercial underwriting and insurance industry theories and practicesMust demonstrate advanced proficiency for salary grade and universal competencies including a track record of results achievement, customer development, collaboration, teamwork, problem solving, and communication and marketing/negotiation skillsMust have strong interpersonal, analytical and negotiation skills and the ability to effectively interact with all levels of internal and external business partners
The pay range for the role is $115,000 to $180,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
