The Role

We are seeking a strategic and analytical Executive Recruiter to join our high-impact Talent Acquisition team. This individual contributor role reports to the Sr. Director of Talent Acquisition and plays a critical part in identifying, engaging, and hiring senior-level leaders who will drive innovation and transformation across Lumen



You will partner closely with executive leadership to align hiring strategies with business priorities, leveraging your deep market insight, stakeholder influence, and fluency in emerging technologies.

This is a remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S.

The Main Responsibilities Lead full-cycle executive recruitment for executive leadership roles, from sourcing and engagement to offer negotiation and onboarding.Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies using referrals, networking, social media, events, and direct outreach.Conduct market research, talent mapping, and competitive benchmarking to identify and engage passive candidates.Evaluate candidates through structured interviews, leadership assessments, and cultural fit analysis.Advise senior stakeholders on hiring strategies, talent trends, and organizational design.Build and maintain long-term relationships with executive talent and internal partners.Leverage data and talent metrics to inform decision-making and optimize recruiting performance.Stay current on industry trends, digital transformation, and the evolving future of work.Core Competencies

Deep understanding of global talent markets and executive search methodologies.Proven ability to identify, engage, and assess top-tier leadership talent across functions and industries.Skilled in behavioral interviewing, leadership potential evaluation, and cultural fit assessment.

 

Stakeholder Management & Influence

Adept at building trust-based relationships with senior executives, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.Strong communication and storytelling skills to influence decision-making at the highest levels.Demonstrates high-velocity decision-making and sound judgment under ambiguity.

 

Leadership Development & Organizational Design

Experience advising on complex hiring initiatives and succession planning.Familiarity with leadership frameworks, high-potential talent development, and AI-driven assessment tools.

 

Innovation & Tech Fluency

Comfortable navigating fast-paced, tech-driven environments with a focus on innovation and scalability.Familiar with digital transformation, AI/ML trends, and the future of work.Experience leveraging technology platforms for recruiting, analytics, and collaboration.What We Look For in a Candidate

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Computer Science, or a related field—or equivalent experience.12+ years of recruiting experience, with a strong focus on senior and executive-level roles.Demonstrated success in sourcing and hiring executive talent in a competitive market.Proficiency with recruiting platforms and tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, SeekOut, GitHub, Stack Overflow, and applicant tracking systems.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Deep understanding of the technical landscape, including current technologies, platforms, and frameworks.High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity in handling confidential information.Self-starter with a proactive, results-driven mindset and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.Strong organizational skills and a commitment to clarity, transparency, and collaboration.Compensation This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
