The Office of Government and Regulatory Affairs
The Office of Government and Regulatory Affairs (OGRA) which sits within the Goldman Sachs Executive Office, plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs’ public policy and advocacy strategy. It promotes constructive relations with governments and regulators, and responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive regulatory and legislative advocacy strategy and public policy agenda to benefit the firm. A global group, the OGRA develops and manages relationships with key national and international regulatory and legislative officials, and manages Goldman Sachs participation in advocacy-oriented efforts, among other things. The OGRA has an integrated regulatory and legislative function.
Role Description
The OGRA is hiring in London. This role is for a full time assistant to support OGRA in EMEA.
Duties
Proactive diary management Arranging travel; organizing and providing detailed travel schedulesLiaising with internal and external stakeholders to organize client meetings and full trip agendasProcessing expenses and invoices in a timely mannerArranging internal and client meetings and events on and off the GS campus - booking of venues, conference rooms and catering, registering guests, ensuring materials organizedAdhering to Compliance regulations and gaining the relevant approvalsGeneral team admin including photocopying, printing, attendance tracking, phone answering and relaying messagesEfficiently coordinating office-wide administrative processes with internal and external partiesActing as an integral member of the team; maintaining a high level of awareness of current priorities and support requiredRegularly facilitate knowledge sharing within the team and ensure relevant information is disseminated accordinglyFlexibility to support assistant colleagues and cover when necessaryFive days a week in office
Skills & Experience required
Prior experience as an assistant, or in an administrative and/or customer service roleSolid organizational skills – ability to multi-task and prioritize effectivelyStrong attention to detailExcellent interpersonal skills and teamwork; ability and willingness to work collaboratively within local, regional and global assistant teamAbility to communicate clearly, concisely and confidentlyProactivity – ability to take initiative, follow up where necessary without prompting and seek clarification when neededStrong work ethic with a positive attitude and growth mindsetAbility to work well under pressure and stay professional in a busy environmentDiscretion – ability to handle sensitive matters confidentially at all timesMicrosoft Office / M365 skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
