The Office of the Secretary at the Department of Children and Family Services is seeking a professional with your expertise to assist in the continued creation of value for the Department. This Executive Management Officer position serves as support to the Secretary while supporting and managing projects required to achieve critical strategies aligned with DCFS's mission. It is responsible for managing and producing quality deliverables of various projects and ensuring projects meet scope, schedule, cost and quality. Minimum Qualifications Six years of experience in administrative services; OR Six years of full-time experience in any field plus three years of experience in administrative services; OR A bachelor’s degree plus three years of experience in administrative services; OR An advanced degree or a Juris Doctorate plus two years of experience in administrative services. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: + Manage business projects that range in size, risk, and complexity. + Provide reliable and professional advice to the Secretary and executive management as it relates to project management and program implementation. + Conducts and directs studies and special projects pertaining to the program assigned. + Develops and monitors budget recommendations for personnel, services, equipment, and materials for the Office of the Secretary. Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Probational, Promotional, or Job Appointment Work Schedule: Typically, work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for. Some positions require working shifts.
