Position Summary:
The Executive Informatics Sales Specialist will be accountable for designing and implementing informatics solutions for Illumina’s multiomics products. The overall responsibility is to drive customer workflow efficiency and business growth. This role requires a deep understanding of clinical research and the new technology application areas like AI drug discovery and cloud computing.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement customized informatics/bioinformatics solutions for the customers.Analyze large volumes of structured and unstructured data and develop appropriate machine learning modelsProvide subject matter expertise in the multi-omics domains especiallyAttend pre-sales activities.Leverage the latest technical tools to make customers successful.Ensure a high level of integration with District Sales, Marketing and Service and Support team to achieve shared revenue goals.Provide coaching to ensure the entire sales specialist team deliver high quality results.Establish Illumina informatics product branding through external speech or webinar.Listed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position. Preferred Experience & Skills:
10+ years of relevant experience in Life Science or Clinical Diagnostics industries.Typically requires a Master’s degree; a PhD degree is preferred.Machine learning frameworks: TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.Recognized deep expertise in bioinformatics and multi-omics domain knowledge in genomics, proteomics, or metabolomics.Ability to effectively communicate and influence internal and external audiences.Good command of EnglishWillingness to conduct approximately 50% of customer visits onsite.All listed requirements are deemed as essential functions to this position; however, business conditions may require reasonable accommodation for additional tasks and responsibilities.
