\nWhat will I be doing?
\nThe Executive Housekeeper serving Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi will play a pivotal role in providing strong, dynamic leadership and expert management of the Housekeeping Department. The position will be responsible for ensuring that all guest villas and public areas maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, creating an exceptional experience for our guests. In addition, the position will oversee the operations of the Laundry Department and manage pest control efforts, ensuring all aspects of cleanliness and maintenance align with the resort’s luxury standards. The Executive Housekeeper will guide and support the team, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvements to uphold the resort’s prestigious reputation.

\nSpecifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards;
\n\nOversees all aspects of Housekeeping operations, which includes guest villas, public areas, laundry, uniform room, and other specified back-of-house areas.\nEnsures Team Member selection, training, performance management, recognition programs, and employee engagement initiatives are in place and monitored to maximize performance and retention.\nEnsures that guest service standards are reviewed and discussed to drive continuous improvement to maximize guest satisfaction.\nEnsures high standards of personal appearance and hygiene are maintained with clean and pressed uniforms and name badges according to Resort Grooming standards.\nImplement departmental training programs to ensure that all housekeeping Team Members possess the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively and efficiently.\nExplains all policies, tasks, procedures, and standards to the departmental team.\nMaintains regular and effective communication with other departments.\nEnsure the cleanliness of all public areas.\nOversee all arrivals, departures, villa allocations, and VIP amenities and ensure communication to the front office team of any guest preferences or upcoming special requirements. \nOversee guest profile updates by the Reservations team and periodically check on the capture of guest preferences, and the same gets updated on the respective guest’s profiles. \nChampion the service recovery process of the resort and ensure that guest complaints and comments are investigated and dealt with in a timely manner until complete guest satisfaction is reached. Bring all essential guest complaints to the notice of the Hotel Manager.\nInforms other departments of relevant Housekeeping matters.\nMaintain open channels of communication with Department Heads and the General Manager.\nEnsure that team member's performance is effectively managed.\nManages spring cleaning schedules.\nReports Maintenance issues immediately to the Maintenance team and follows up to ensure completion in a timely manner. \nMonitors the Housekeeping Team to ensure all guests and internal customers receive prompt and courteous service.\nOversees the efficient operation of laundry and uniform sections.\nSchedules routine inspections of all Housekeeping areas with the Assistant Executive Housekeeper and other supervisors.\nSupervises outside contractors to ensure contractual compliance.\nChampion the identification and reporting of hazards and risks.\nWorks with Human Resources on manpower planning and management needs\nImplements and controls Housekeeping procedures that provide for the health and safety of personnel and guests, such as lost and found service, essential control, security, and emergency and environmental procedures.\nImplement assigned tasks during emergencies such as fires, power failures, and bomb threats.\nDemonstrate a sound awareness of OH&S policies and procedures, ensuring all team members are trained and aware of their responsibilities.\nFacilitate the reporting and investigating of injuries and illnesses arising from workplace activities, recommending corrective actions to prevent or minimize the chance of recurrence.\nWorks with the Director of Finance in the preparation and management of the Department’s budget. \nPrepares efficient work schedule for Housekeeping Team Members, arranging holidays and vacations, taking into consideration project occupancy.\nChampion ‘Think Tank’ meetings to solicit feedback on ideas/suggestions.\nThe Resort requires that you perform any task deemed necessary by the General Manager/Hotel Manager for the efficient running of the Housekeeping Department specifically and the Resort in general\nWhat do I need?
\n\nAt least 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a luxury Resort/HotelExcellent presentation and communication skills.\nInnovative, action oriented individual able to identify and implement results-oriented housekeeping strategies for the hotel.\nAbility to work under pressure. \nStrong leadership skills and people management skills. \nOutgoing and enthusiastic personality. \nPossess high degree of stamina, agility, and flexibility\n\n
