Job Description

The Tax Director position is an exciting opportunity to manage a small collaborative compliance team at a global organization in a dynamic environment with hybrid working.

You and Your Job

Managing the compliance team to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax reporting, calculating/reviewing deferred tax asset schedules, and assisting with examinations by tax authorities. The Tax Director also collaborates with the global tax team and other departments, helps manage the effective tax rate and identifies and implements process improvements.

The Tax Director position at Rabobank's U.S. branches and subsidiaries involves managing all aspects of tax compliance and reporting for the organization's operations in the United States and Canada.

Job Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include overseeing tax compliance, tax provisions, and client information reporting to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax returns, including federal, state, and indirect taxes. The role involves collaborating with the global tax team and other departments.

Your Promise to Us:

To be considered for the Executive Director - Tax role, you must have:

Experience in the banking or finance industry, with knowledge of tax aspects related to U.S. branches of foreign corporations.

Specific knowledge areas include understanding of interest expense under Treas. Reg 1.882-5, interbranch interest income and expense, Base Erosion and Anti-abuse Tax (BEAT), NECI and ECI concepts, and home office expense reporting.

Experience with information reporting, state sourcing rules, unitary state filing, tax automation, technical tax research, and tax controversy matters is also beneficial.

CPA and/or Master of Tax Accounting preferred

Big 4 experience

5+ years of related experience

Ability to travel regionally up to15%

Salary Expectations:

Target Hiring Range: $205,000.00 - $230,000.00

This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons. Further, all full-time regular positions include all other benefits provided to [RAF/Rabobank/RDS] employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
