The Executive Director of Talent Acquisition is a senior HR leader responsible for developing and executing innovative, scalable, and equitable recruitment strategies across Beth Israel Lahey Health (BILH). Leading a high-impact team of Talent Acquisition Managers, Leads, and Recruiters across a large matrixed healthcare system, this role ensures the successful hiring of top-tier clinical and non-clinical talent to support BILH’s mission and workforce needs.
This role is pivotal in aligning recruitment processes with the organization’s mission, vision, and values, while driving operational excellence, innovation, and strategic workforce planning in a dynamic healthcare environment. This leader will champion a culture of collaboration, accountability, and inclusivity while delivering best-in-class recruitment outcomes.
**Job Description:**
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities** including but not limited to:
**Strategic Leadership**
+ Develop and implement a system-wide talent acquisition strategy aligned with BILH’s purpose, values, and strategic goals.
+ Lead and inspire a multi-level team of recruitment professionals, including Managers, Leads, and Recruiters, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
+ Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to senior leaders on workforce planning, market trends, and recruiting challenges, especially in a highly competitive healthcare labor market.
+ Drive the adoption of best-in-class recruitment practices and technologies to improve candidate experience and recruiter efficiency.
**Operations & Execution**
+ Oversee recruitment operations and workflows to ensure compliance, timeliness, and service excellence across the BILH system.
+ Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring data-driven decisions that improve recruiter performance, candidate quality, and time-to-fill.
+ Foster continuous improvement in talent acquisition technologies, processes, and strategies, leveraging tools such as ATS, CRM, and digital sourcing platforms.
+ Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and policy requirements
+ Monitor, analyze, and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as time-to-fill, quality of hire, sourcing channel effectiveness, and recruiter productivity.
**Team Development & Culture**
+ Lead by example in living BILH’s WE CARE values.
+ Coach, mentor, and develop team members at all levels to build a resilient and agile talent acquisition function.
+ Cultivate a team culture focused on empathy, collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
**Stakeholder Collaboration**
+ Engage operational and clinical leadership in strategic hiring discussions, ensuring strong partnerships and business alignment.
+ Partner with HR Business Partners, Department Heads, and Clinical Leaders to forecast talent needs and develop proactive sourcing strategies.
**Technology & Innovation**
+ Oversee the effective utilization of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), CRM tools, and digital sourcing platforms.
+ Leverage data analytics to inform strategy, optimize recruitment workflows, and continuously improve the hiring process.
+ Introduce innovative recruitment marketing campaigns, including employer branding, social media, and community outreach.
**Minimum Qualifications:**
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field required.
Experience:
+ 10+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition or human resources, with a minimum of 5 years in healthcare or a large, matrixed organization.
+ Proven success in leading large-scale recruitment teams, strategy development, and operational execution.
+ Experience with large-scale change management, system/process improvement, and organizational transformation.
+ Deep understanding of healthcare workforce dynamics, including clinical staffing, credentialing, and licensure requirements.

+ Deep understanding of healthcare roles, credentialing, and workforce challenges.
+ Proficiency in ATS/HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday) and recruitment analytics.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills: SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or AIRS certifications are advantageous.
