You will be a strategic and passionate leader, a creative innovator, and a hands-on manager, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency and profitability. You will exhibit culinary talents by personally performing tasks while leading the staff and managing all food related functions to continually keep improving on guest and associate satisfaction while maximizing the financial performance across all areas of responsibility. **_Key responsibilities will include:_** + Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse and talented culinary team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. + Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, presentation, and quality control, ensuring adherence to the highest hygiene and safety standards. + Manage food costs, inventory, and procurement processes effectively, optimizing efficiency and minimizing waste. + Review staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met. + Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and hygiene regulations. + Provide direction for menu development while staying abreast of current culinary trends and techniques, continuously seeking opportunities for innovation and improvement. + Contribute to the overall strategic planning and development of the hotel's food and beverage offerings. + Identifies the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills. + Shares and provides information across all departments, to ensure coordination, evaluate options and decide on the best outcome. **_The ideal candidate:_** + Will have proven experience as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a high-end, preferably 5-star, hotel environment. + Exceptional culinary skills with a strong understanding of international cuisine and contemporary culinary trends. + Demonstrate ability to create innovative and commercially successful menus. + Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a proven track record of motivating and developing teams. + Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. + Sound financial acumen with experience in budget management, cost control, and inventory management. + A thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP certification preferred). + A passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations. + Experience working with diverse culinary teams and international clientele is highly advantageous. + Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of Maltese will be considered an asset. _At Marriott International, we are dedicated to being an equal opportunity employer, welcoming all and providing access to opportunity.
