Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opportunity for an Executive Assistant. Under general supervision and acting with initiative, the Executive Assistant performs comprehensive and complex administrative duties. This individual should possess the ability to exercise sound judgment in various situations. Exceptional written and verbal communication, organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a realistic balance across multiple priorities are necessary. This position will work independently on projects, from start to finish, and at times will require handling a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Acts as the administrative point of contact for assigned Executive officers and other members of management.
Coordinates meetings, conference calls, travel arrangements, and other related tasks.
Creates memoranda, letters, reports, presentations, graphs, and spreadsheets in proper form, using correct grammar, spelling, sentence structure, punctuation, etc.
Establishes a system of record keeping and document flow; maintains up-to-date, comprehensive records and reports concerning assigned functions.
Receives visitors, answers telephones, schedules appointments, sorts and distributes daily mail, and completes and reconciles expense reports as requested.
Performs other office functions as directed, including ensuring administrative/phone coverage for other Cleveland-Cliffs executives.
In limited instances, availability outside of regular hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
Minimum of a high school diploma, although an associate’s degree is preferred.
Extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and database software required.
Minimum Qualifications:
Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and oral) skills.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to maintain confidential information.
Able to multitask and set proper priorities.
Must be willing and able to learn various PC programs.
Proficient in oral and written communication, including the use of proper grammar and punctuation.
Attention to detail.
Accomplishes tasks by considering all areas involved, regardless of their size.
Ability to prioritize work from multiple sources to work effectively and set a course of action to accomplish all tasks and goals.
Reliable – can be counted on to complete assigned tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least five (5) years of strong administrative experience; C-suite experience preferred.
Able to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels (Board of Directors, Executive Management, other Company personnel and outside counsel).
