Are you a seasoned Executive Assistant who is ready to take on a new challenge? Amazon is seeking a skilled, motivated and customer obsessed Executive Assistant with a history of high performance to support a Director for a global AWS organisation. You will own driving improvements and processes for a fast-growing team while also providing high impact administrative support to the leaders of AWS EC2.
Our ideal candidate is organized, innovative, knowledgeable and forward-thinking when it comes to ensuring smooth workplace operations. The position requires the capacity to work successfully in a team environment while keeping abreast of business objectives, standards, and related information in order to maintain a comprehensive awareness of the organization. This role demands a strong sense of urgency and the ability to work independently with little or no guidance on assignments with sound judgment. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of ownership and bias for action, be customer-service oriented and have the ability to meet tight deadlines.
This role requires effective planning, time management, and organizational skills. Attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple requests is critical. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information, and professionalism in dealing with senior executives is imperative. The role requires the ability to be flexible and change direction at a moment’s notice.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple complex calendars, planning and organizing events of all sizes, supporting multiple leaders, and coordinating domestic and international travel.
Key job responsibilities
• Management of complex calendars and scheduling requirements
• Track and help drive completion of key deliverables, and follow up on outstanding items
• Act as a liaison for leader’s direct reports
• Schedule complex and cost-effective travel (domestic and international)
• Complete and file expense reports; utilizing both domestic and international currencies
• Drive team logistics, including staff meeting agendas, and regular organisation get togethers (All Hands)
• Organize team events within budget guidelines, and act as a resource to partner with other assistants on events
• Support key annual operational planning process, business planning and performance review cycles
• Close collaboration with departmental EA peers
• Have fun at work and help others do the same
