Join us and build _your_ ambition. **ABOUT THE ROLE** As a Heavy Equipment Operator you will maintain operations of the pit on a day to day basis. Reporting to the Plant Foreman, the Production Equipment Operator will inspect, maintain, operate the loader and work co-operatively with all personnel. **Our Aggregates operations are in Central Alberta.** **WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH** • Operate an excavator and perform routine maintenance including washing and cleaning the operator’s cab inside and out, greasing, refueling, changing oil and filters, and maintaining all fluid levels • Responsible for updating and maintaining all equipment service records for any piece of equipment operated, keeping accurate and thorough records of the maintenance performed, the hours on the unit, date, time, etc.; complete proof of regular service may be required • Responsible for completing daily equipment checklist • Monitor material production within specifications • Ensure consistent feed to maintain quality product • Seek out and implement Best Practices • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors. **WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR** **Education:** High School Diploma **Additional Education Preferred** : N/A **Field of Study Preferred:** N/A **Required Work Experience:** previous experience with heavy machinery/equipment **Required Training/Certifications:** Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driver’s abstract **Required Technical Skills:** N/A **Travel Requirements:** in and around Central Alberta **Additional Requirements:** ● Capable of working in an outdoor environment ● Has good communication skills, able to work well with others ● Can work independently and unsupervised ● Must be capable of heavy lifting, bending and twisting ● Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators.
