What You'll Do

We are seeking a confident and creative Events Manager to join the Office Experience team for our Bay Area offices, San Francisco (SFO) and Silicon Valley (SVD).  Reporting directly to the Bay Area Office Experience & Events Senior Manager, the Events Manager oversees the strategy and delivery of internal and external office events, conferences and initiatives, and contributes to the development of key partnerships and programs.  The Events Manager will be responsible for line management of the events team members, programming, planning, execution and debriefs of all events in SFO and SVD. The Events Manager is an innovative and sophisticated thinker with a strong logistical background, an ability to thrive in an analytic environment, who finds fulfillment in building community through events.  This role is critical to the culture of the Bay Area offices and is based in SFO five days a week, with travel to SVD as needed (there is occasional flexibility expected to accommodate offsite and after-hours work requirements).  

 

Key responsibilities include:

Leading comprehensive event strategy and execution from concept to delivery, including large-scale retreats, internal affiliation events, community initiatives, and senior leadership meetings.Partnering closely with senior leadership and key stakeholders to define event goals, align programs with firm objectives, and deliver exceptional experiences that strengthen employee affiliation and engagement.Overseeing detailed event logistics, including vendor management, contracts, budgeting, CRM diligence, and proactive risk management.Serving as a strategic resource by fostering strong relationships with venues, vendors, local partners, and cultural institutions to ensure consistently outstanding event experiences.Directly managing major events, including venue selection, negotiation, logistics, AV coordination, catering, and health and safety compliance.Developing and carefully tracking event budgets, providing senior management with transparent and timely financial updates, and maintaining fiscal responsibility.Collaborating closely with BCG’s Meetings & Events and Legal teams on contract negotiations to ensure compliance with all legal and risk management requirements.Strategically managing local and internal event communications, ensuring timely, clear, and engaging messaging to participants and stakeholders.Overseeing the creation of visually appealing event materials, invitations, and branded collateral in partnership with Internal Communications.Conducting post-event analyses and attendee surveys, consistently leveraging data-driven insights to improve future events.Mentoring and developing your team by providing regular feedback, clear delegation, and creating professional growth opportunities aligned with BCG’s core competencies.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor’s degree required6–8 years managing complex internal/external events, ideally in professional services or corporate environments.Proven success independently managing high-profile events, budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships.Strong leadership skills, including mentoring teams and providing developmental feedback.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for engaging senior stakeholders and external partners.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, event software, and digital communication tools.Flexibility to work event-related hours with required in-office presence five days per week.

Total compensation for this role includes base salary, annual discretionary performance bonus, retirement contribution, and a market leading benefits package described below.


The base salary range for this role is $101,000-$112,000.


This is an estimated range and specific base salaries within the range depend on factors such as office location, experience, and skill set. It is not common for new BCG employees to be hired at the high-end of the salary range. BCG regularly reviews its ranges to ensure market competitiveness.

 

In addition to your base salary, your total compensation will include a discretionary bonus of up to 16% and a generous retirement contribution that starts at 5% and moves to 10% after 2 years.
