Events Manager – Events Department

As an Events Manager at Grand Hyatt Barcelona, you will play a key role in delivering seamless, high-impact experiences for our group and event clients. You will serve as the main point of contact between the hotel and the client, ensuring exceptional coordination across all departments involved. With strong attention to detail and a passion for service, you will help create events that are as memorable as they are flawlessly executed.

Responsibilities

Coordinate all aspects of group and event logistics from pre-arrival to post-event follow-up

Lead pre-con and post-con meetings, and ensure all event details are clearly communicated to operational departments

Manage rooming lists, signage, printed materials, inspection visit dossiers, and guest experience planning

Ensure all setups, services, and client requests are executed according to agreed specifications

Actively upsell hotel outlets and services, helping to increase average guest spend

Handle client feedback and incident resolution with empathy and efficiency

Oversee event billing, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely payments

Maintain communication with clients throughout the planning and execution stages

Monitor and maintain the condition of event spaces, reporting issues proactively

Collaborate with Sales, FB, Housekeeping, and Front Office teams to ensure seamless execution

Actively participate in department initiatives and contribute to overall event strategy

Foster a positive team environment and promote open communication within the Events Department

Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills with a customer-centric approach

Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively

Familiarity with Microsoft Office; additional training in event management is valued

A proactive, collaborative attitude and passion for creating outstanding guest experiences
