An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the dynamic and detail-driven Events team at Fairmont St Andrews!
We’re on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Events Manager to take the lead in planning and delivering exceptional corporate events. A little more about what you will be doing:
Seamlessly transition accounts from the Sales Department to the Event Planning team, ensuring continuity and a flawless client experience.
Review and uphold all details outlined in the Sales Contract, including but not limited to:
Deposit schedules
Room cut-off dates
Rooming list deadlines
Build strong, collaborative relationships with meeting planners throughout the entire planning and execution process.
Deliver exceptional service at every touchpoint—interacting professionally and graciously with clients, guests, and colleagues.
Guide clients with expertise, offering creative and practical recommendations that align with guest expectations while maximizing profitability.
Implement strategic revenue and yield management practices, including savvy negotiation of room rates and meeting space fees.
Provide comprehensive and accurate event details to all relevant departments to guarantee outstanding service and guest satisfaction.
Ensure operational clarity by following up on all distributed materials (BEOs, Resumes, Group Cover Sheets) to confirm understanding and alignment with planner expectations.
Act as the central point of contact between meeting planners and hotel operations during events, adapting to any spontaneous changes with agility and professionalism.
Collaborate with accounting post-event to ensure timely and accurate invoicing and final billing.
Communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats; draft professional correspondence as needed.
Maintain awareness of broader hotel operations including sales, rooms, and service to ensure informed decision-making.
Demonstrate excellent time management, prioritizing tasks effectively and delivering projects within set deadlines.
Accurately forecast group revenue on a weekly basis, contributing to strategic planning and performance targets.
Qualifications
Experience in a luxury five-star role is essential Must be eligible to live and work in the UK This is a Full-Time role and will based onsite in the Hotel
