This includes logistics planning, organizing, marketing, and messaging to efficiently implement faculty colloquia and workshops, classroom colloquia, faculty meetings and scholarship retreats, conferences, course-related events, staff meetings, and employee recognition events. This position partners and consults with the events team and faculty members and assists in determining program needs and costs. Working in collaboration with the Director of Events, the Associate Dean for Research, and faculty as needed. Because we take our responsibility to educate and train future lawyers very seriously, our curriculum, research centers, and experiential learning opportunities are crafted to prepare students for success in today's changing legal environment. **What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be** **Event Coordination:** + Organize recurring faculty and staff specific events and activities such as faculty meetings, faculty recruitment lunches, workshops, colloquia, conferences, and employee recognition events. + Collaborate with internal and external partners including vendors, caterers, parking services, etc. to ensure proper execution of all event elements. + Create, market, and publicize all related event promotional material to the law school calendar. + Supervise event logistics including room reservations, catering, volunteer and staff assignments, timeline, briefing, registration and check-in, setup, etc. + Support additional law school events under the direction of the Events team. **Event Purchasing:** + Maintain a comprehensive tracking system to monitor event-related spending, ensuring accurate and up-to-date budget records. + Coordinate and book travel logistics for event speakers, including booking flights and lodging. + Process reimbursements and reconcile monthly expenses in alignment with procurement policies. **What You Should Know** + This position has the ability to work a hybrid schedule with an anticipated in person schedule of approximately three days per week, which will vary based on event needs. + Some evening and weekend work hours may be required for events. + We have an anticipated start date of September 22, 2025, and an anticipated end date of mid to late May 2026. **What We Can Offer** The hourly pay range for this position is $24.52 - $28. **Benefits** Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave (https://www.colorado.edu/hr/leave#sick-89) . **Be Statements** Be creative. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute. + At least one year's experience planning various professional events. + TIPS On Campus Certification and Campus Alcohol Policy training completion is required within the first three months of employment. **What You Will Need** + Success planning a variety of professional events. + Proven organizational skills. + Ability to promote an inclusive environment which reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students, staff, faculty, and community members. + Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously while achieving results on a timeline. + Strong attention to detail. + Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written, and strong editing skills. + Ability to work independently and proactively anticipate needs of event sponsors and faculty. + Positive demeanor, resourceful nature, and excellent problem-solving capabilities. + Highly adaptable and creative. + Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher). **Special Instructions** To apply, please submit the following materials: 1.
