This part-time position exists to provide a visible security presence at university events and respond to emergency situations and requests for assistance.  

Coordinate and manage security operations for on-campus events including athletic competitions, concerts, ceremonies, and high-profile guest appearances. Conduct pre-event security assessments and walk-throughs with event staff to identify potential risks and ensure safety plans are in place. Liaise with event organizers, campus partners, and law enforcement to maintain operational awareness before, during, and after events. Monitor crowd behavior, identify escalating situations, and respond accordingly to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. Operate security screening stations and control access points at large-scale events.  Serve as first responder for medical incidents or disturbances during events; initiate emergency protocols if necessary. Document incidents and activities through detailed reports; ensure timely communication and follow-up with appropriate departments.  The above statements describe the job’s essential responsibilities and requirements.
