Event Technician (Power Generation/Mechanical) - Contract/Freelance

Role: Event Technician- Power Generation/Mechanical 

Role Type: Contract/Freelance 

Location: International (event-based)  

Assignment Length: Typically, 8–24 weeks. Start dates will vary dependant on event and venue  

Travel: International travel required  

Passport: Must be valid with at least 6 months remaining

We’re looking for event technicians and to help us deliver energy solutions for these high-profile events.

We’re proud to deliver energy solutions for some of the most exciting events the sports, music, corporate and culture industry has to offer. We’ve been involved in events for more than 30 years, providing innovative temporary energy solutions that put on spectacular shows across the globe.  

We work with global partners such as Formula 1, and have supported multi-venue events including major football competition and the Olympics. We deliver energy solutions for the biggest and most complex events in the global spotlight.

What you will do:  

As part of the venue delivery team, you’ll help deploy and maintain our generator and fuel cell fleet on-site. You’ll:  

  

Install, commission and decommission generators  

Work with synchronisation, load on demand, and cold standby operations  

Interpret venue-specific schematics for accurate installations  

Support on-site fault finding and performance testing  

Collaborate with logistics, electrical and UPS teams  

Provide daily reports and updates to the Lead Technician or Venue Lead  

Contribute to safe and high-quality operations throughout the event  

  

  

You’ll have the following skills and experience  

Mechanical experience with canopy and containerised generators  

Confidence in commissioning, load-sharing and control systems  

Strong communication skills (English language is essential)  

A proactive, team-first mindset  

Resilience, adaptability, and a positive attitude  

A commitment to QHSE and Operational Excellence
