The Opportunity 

The Event Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end execution, optimization and compliance of speaker programs, product theaters, congress and conference participation across Marketing, Medical, and Field teams. This includes strategic planning, stakeholder management, booth design oversight, on-site execution and post-event optimization. This role ensures seamless event logistics, speaker training, exhibit management while elevating the overall engagement experience for Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals (HCPs), and stakeholders at key industry events. As an Event Manager, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to optimize processes and ensure high-quality and efficient event execution.

Key Responsibilities

Drive operational delivery for Speaker Programs and Congresses to ensure compliant and seamless execution, including management of vendor teams.

Ensure strong stakeholder engagement and enhanced brand visibility at congress and speaker programs by collaborating with Medical, Marketing and Field based teams

Serve as a key liaison for external facing event execution, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and stakeholder expectations

Operationalize, produce and optimize products/channels in alignment with campaign and above-campaign execution plans (CEP) initiations and optimizations from stakeholders to create impactful patient, customer, and payer experiences.

Drive on-time business delivery, leveraging project management tools and coordinating effectively with cross-functional teams.

Accountable for timely, high-quality and high-satisfaction patient and customer experiences.

Activate campaign optimization decisions to enhance effectiveness and appropriate reach.

Support the maintenance of documentation on production processes, channel-specific best practices and production calendars.

Provide product planning and optimization inputs to product teams to improve performance, efficiency and capacity.

Serve as a liaison between creative production teams, agencies, product team leads and other key stakeholders.

Help pull through pilots to test and refine new initiatives as needed in support of product/channel stewardship and deployment.

Oversee the end-to-end execution of speaker programs and product theaters, including planning, venue selection, speaker coordination and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and compliance standards.

Lead planning and execution of congresses, including booth strategy and design, speaker coordination, stakeholder meetings and sponsored activities, while ensuring seamless logistics, and vendor oversight. .

Administer and maintain the speaker portal site, ensuring accurate speaker credentialing, onboarding, training delivery and compliance documentation in partnership with HCO.  Serve as an operational point of contract for speaker logistics and portal-related troubleshooting.

Partner with vendors to coordinate and manage end-to-end travel and accommodation logistics for patients, HCPs, speakers and employees, ensuring a seamless experience 

Provide feedback and insights to campaign and product teams based on event outcomes to drive continuous improvement and optimize future channel strategies and engagement experiences

Comply with all laws, regulations and policies that govern the conduct of Genentech activities.

Who You Are

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.

3+ years in campaign operations, marketing production, or omnichannel execution with a successful track record of on-time, high-quality delivery.

Skilled in end-to-end omnichannel/multichannel execution, including digital and offline integration.

Strong project management and resource optimization skills.

Knowledge of healthcare compliance rules and regulations.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and English proficiency.

Willingness to travel to the US (up to 25%).

Additional Desired Qualifications

Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or regulated industries.

Background in campaign optimization, channel activation, and automated production workflows.

Familiarity with omnichannel tools (e.g., workflow, CRM, campaign automation).

Expertise in managing vendors/events, including timelines, budgets, and speaker/congress logistics.

Proficient in marketing automation tools, analytics platforms, and compliance frameworks.

Experience with large-scale events, speaker training, and program coordination.
