The Position
EEI Cluster Medical Director (CMD) is a Senior Medical Leader for Organon in a major cluster comprised of the following countries: Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Montenegro, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Malta, Cyprus, Israel. (S)he will be the primary cluster level contact for the local Medical organization and oversees Field Medical and Medical Services teams in his/her cluster.
Responsibilities
Supporting strategic planning and medical support of Company objectives
Strategic planning and support of structured and consistent Continuous Medical Education (CME) activities
Building close relationships with local Regulatory Agencies.
Build a strong network with the cluster LT, including but not limited to commercial functional leaders.
Guarantee that every country within the cluster receives a balanced support while maintaining focus on key priorities
Examining and coordinating the team’s activities to guarantee medical quality.
Assisting with training, continuing education, and promotion of subordinate staff.
Managing budget.
Liaising with medical and non-medical departments and enhancing relationships with vendors.
Promote the updating and/or amending and/or replacing SOPs with the advice of the BPS.
Developing cooperation between key stakeholders and the medical department.
Keeping medical knowledge up to standards within the medical team.
Cluster Medical team focusing on local Organon Medical strategy, with a heavy emphasis to help developing Global Medical strategy
Providing input into cluster study feasibility and sites selection and implementing publication policy
Providing medical and scientific advice to business units, Market Access functions and others as required, including input into Health Economics
Managing the cluster-developed Protocol Concept Sheets (PCS) and obtaining regional and global approvals for new local studies
Reviewing and approving local study protocols and IISPs
Advising business units on medical and scientific matters, including but not limited to scientific approval of promotional materials
Establish, manage and maintain a functional DPOC setup.
Required Education, Experience, and Skills
Ability to plan a medium-long term vision of the medical organization priorities
Be able to prioritize actions according to the strategy, including quick wins and medium-long term activities.
Routine analysis of the major KPI´s
Proper follow-up of the budget
Able to identify data gaps that could be transformed into clinical evidence
Be a major player during the EC, given the medical point of view to the different issues that could be analyzed
External leadership - be able to promote the development of medical activities related with scientific exchange, medical societies, KDM
Ability to give a specific short-mid-long-term vision to the medical department
Ability to create a team spirit with no discrimination of any type
Recognize the results
Ability to create a career development plan for each member of the team

5+ years experience in global biopharmaceutical industry in Clinical Development and/or Medical Affairs
People management experience running an organization of healthcare professionals
MD, PhD in health sciences, PharmD or equivalent
