Europe Business Development Manager (Chemical/ Petrochem) - Remote!

Our CLIENT is an Asian listed company specializing in custom-engineered chemical process equipment, including reactors, heat exchangers, and complete modular systems expanding into Europe and the Middle East. With approximately 1,000 employees and a strong focus on innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, our CLIENT is recognized as a leader in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and process industries.

 The Ideal candidate holds a (master) degree in chemical engineering, has first experience in selling static equipment and business development in general, strongly self-motivated and eager to establish a newcomer company in European and Middle East market. With around 5 – 10 years working experience, a “young & hungry” type.

We need a technical profile along with good commercial skills and achievements, an accountable candidate who will directly report to a German operational manager.

Structure of the department: The role is part of the International Business Development team, focusing on European and Middle Eastern markets. Independent, remote role with close collaboration with the Chinese headquarters. Location and travel required:

Location: Eastern Europe (Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Czech Republic, or Hungary) but not limitted to such geographies.

Travel: 40–50% international travel to Europe, Middle East, and potentially Americas in phase two.

 

Scope of the role: 

Develop and execute business development strategies for our CLIENT chemical process equipment in Europe and the Middle East. Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and process industries. Identify and target new business opportunities, develop a client list, and drive sales. Collaborate with the internal engineering and sales teams to design customized solutions for clients. Represent CO at international trade fairs, conferences, and industry events. Provide strategic insights to senior management on market trends and customer needs. Support the annual budget and strategy planning processes. A pioneer role for the whole region No year one sales target predefined- those will be defined later on in a team

Principal Accountabilities:

 

Market Research: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities in target regions. Client Development: Identify, approach, and manage relationships with clients in target industries. Solution Design: Work with engineering teams to deliver custom technical solutions for clients. Sales Execution: Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to contract negotiation. Representation: Act as CO’s brand ambassador at industry events. Strategic Planning: Contribute to company growth by providing market feedback and strategic recommendations.

 

 

Candidate Specifications:

 

Experience:

 

Proven experience in business development or technical sales (B2B), ideally in an international context. Experience in chemical process equipment, plant engineering, or related fields is strongly preferred. Be able to proof of relevant list of Clients/Potential Clients to target. 

 

Skills:

 

Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. High cultural adaptability and ability to work independently. Fluent in English (mandatory); knowledge of Mandarin, German, Spanish, or French is a plus. Self driven and not afraid to take the risks and to open up new channels . Able to travel intensively.

Education:

 

Technical university degree in process or chemical engineering with additional business training. Alternatively, a business administration degree with a strong technical experience could be an option.

Competitive base salary with a performance-based bonus. Market range is : fix minimum gross income around 55k-60k Eur p,a.and for exceptional candidate, is negotiable. Variable pay 20-30% and can be increased vs annual target increase too Company car provided or car allowance and all car costs reimbursed Health& life  insurance approx. 1500eur p.a. Home-office-based role with flexible work arrangements. Potential for B2B/Freelance contract depending on legal feasibility in the chosen location. Reimbursement for travel and associated business expenses.
