**Role Description:**
Enterprise Credit delivers and manages the credit relationship for wholesale clients in accordance with Bank of America’s growth strategy, risk tolerance and underwriting standards. Enterprise Credit is responsible for analysing and underwriting debt financing solutions and derivative strategies.
Within Enterprise Credit our team covers Global Markets clients. We are a standalone team working closely with product specialists, relationship managers and the Risk Management function.
The EU Funds Credit and Portfolio Oversight role within Global Markets Credit’s Paris location is responsible for approving and providing oversight of counterparty risk for the banks’ markets counterparties, including Global Hedge Funds, Regulated Funds, and Financial Market Utilities, operating through our local European entities.
In addition there will be direct coverage (underwriting and ongoing monitoring) of specific Funds relationships, trading with our Paris Legal Entity. The individual will be part of a global Funds Credit team located in London, Paris, New York and Hong Kong.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Providing risk approval and portfolio oversight of Global Funds exposures booked into the Paris Legal Entity.
+ Delivering a resolute operating environment in adherence with policies and procedures and in compliance with metrics
+ Serving as a local escalation point on risk and other issues for EMEA Funds
+ Contributing and participating in portfolio reviews, forums and risk meetings focused on the legal entity and overall Global Funds exposure and for a robust risk culture and environment
+ Supporting responses to regulatory inquiries, including through participation in meetings and presentations
+ Managing stakeholder relationships and partnering with Risk Management, Sales, Trading. Agreement & Documentation, and Operations
+ Managing a portfolio of EMEA based fund clients from on-boarding through to underwriting/credit approval and ongoing risk management including;
+ Detailed written analysis of fund clients demonstrating a good understanding of investment strategies, liquidity, leverage and volatility.
+ Perform qualitative and quantitative credit assessment of clients and their trading exposure including stress and sensitivity analysis.
+ Conduct credit due diligence calls with clients and prepare written due diligence assessments for risk management review
+ Propose risk-based limits based on assigned internal counterparty rating
+ Approval of daily trade flow including the calculation and application of Initial Margin
**What we are looking for:**
+ Extensive experience in a counterparty credit risk role underwriting hedge funds, regulated funds, and/or financial institutions and/or prime brokerage experience
+ Experience building relationships with both internal and external at all levels of seniority.
+ Substantial knowledge of hedge funds and regulated funds, their strategies and associated risks.
+ A substantial understanding of Global Markets and derivative products risk and risk management
+ Sense of ownership and communication skills across stakeholders
+ Problem solver, ability to handle issues in a timely manner
