Ethics & Compliance Regional Manager, Latin America & the Caribbean

Job Description:

different regions and entities of the group for its effective implementation. 
Airbus is now recruiting an Ethics & Compliance Manager for Latin America & the
Caribbean (“LATAM”). The general purpose of the position is to provide ethics and
compliance support to the local business in coordination with other ethics and
compliance specialists across the region.

 

The position will report directly to the Head of Legal & Compliance of LATAM

 This position can be available at BRASIL & MÉXICO

Main Activities 

Actively promote and implement the E&C programme across LATAM;Act as an embedded partner supporting the business operations across the region and in all Airbus sites, namely Brazil, Mexico, Chile, Colombia and Uruguay and Argentina;Closely liaise and coordinate with specialized teams of the Airbus Legal & Compliance department at HQ and/or the Divisions in order to ensure a seamless and efficient coordination and interaction on all matters relevant for LATAM; andWork closely with L&C members in the region and build a harmonious team to support the region holistically.

 

Activities & Responsibilities 

Support the Airbus management in LATAM to identify, assess and mitigate E&C risks;

Ensure the deployment of the Airbus E&C policies and processes in LATAM and assess overall effectiveness, meaning high level of awareness and adherence;

Handle and /or support the assessment of Gifts & Hospitality, Sponsorships, Donation & Membership requests, Conflict of Interest declarations related to LATAM.

Handle KYC, KYS and other due diligences (partnerships, vetting) whenever needed;

Manage the Ethics & Compliance Representatives – ECRs network to ensure a homogenous deployment;

Coordinate the Ethics & Compliance trainings,  including for highly exposed employees (ABC, Competitive Intelligence), E&C on boarding of new employees and ad hoc E&C refreshers on G&H, SDM, CoI, Speak Up, etc;

Manage the E&C communications in coordination with the regional Airbus communications team;

 

Requirements

Qualified lawyer or compliance specialist combining solid academic background and practical experience in compliance matters.

05-10 years of professional experience (acquired in law firms and/or in the industry, preferably in the aerospace or defence business and LATAM region).

Excellent drafting and negotiation skills in Spanish and English. Portuguese is of added value. 

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with a willingness to collaborate, share knowledge, respond quickly to urgent matters and execute proactively.

Ability to work independently and to manage a dynamic workload under deadline pressure.

Solid understanding of the business environment and the ability to provide high-quality legal advice with a view on finding pragmatic solutions for the business.  

Integrity, and strong sense of business ethics.

The jobholder is part of the Legal & Compliance International organization (LY) and embedded with the Airbus LATAM team. The jobholder will report to the Head of L&C LATAM.

This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.
