Ethics & Compliance Officer, ABC & International Marketing

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer (CECO), as the Ethics & Compliance Officer, ABC (Market Access, Business Excellence and Commercial Development) and International Marketing, you will be responsible for providing strategic E&C (Ethics & Compliance) support to the Head of ABC and Head of International Marketing including respective Leadership teams on ABC & International Marketing projects ensuring E&C risks are managed appropriately and timely when driving pipeline portfolio projects, value evidence to enable access to products. You will also provide strategic advice on inline products' related initiative, launch activities and brand planning involving E&C areas of remit. You will help ABC & International Marketing navigate complex healthcare regulatory environment by providing measurable inputs into processes, standards and operational plans for ABC & International Marketing. You will also responsible for executing global programs, strategies, priorities, and operations as established by the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer (CECO). You will be responsible for the execution of short to long term strategies to ensure that CSL's ABC & International Marketing is risk aware, compliant and change ready. In addition, you will be responsible for aligning with other E&C Leadership Team members and with CECO the enhancement of the global compliance program.

You will be a key advisor to ABC & International Marketing and will liaise with similar functions across all the business units to ensure consistency in driving the strategic advice and E&C framework and will partner with and support a number of functions in ongoing compliance risk identification, management, controls and mitigations enterprise-wide for CSL. You will have detailed and up to date E&C knowledge in order to implement and maintain routines and ongoing cadence to manage, monitor and analyze regulatory/enforcement and business changes as well as suggest 'best practices' in the industry to the CECO, and then recommend them for action.

You will report to the CECO, and you will support the CECO and E&C Leadership by actively contributing to developing and implementing global compliance program and also ensure that the E&C Program for ABC & International Marketing across CSL is directionally both consistent with and supportive of CSL enterprise E&C Program standards, actively contribute to developing a company culture of compliance and support the business through client counselling, training/ communications, auditing and monitoring, Speak Up hotline report review, investigation and remediation.

The Role:

The Ethics & Compliance Officer, ABC & International Marketing is responsible for planning efforts (budgets, operational plans etc.), managing projects and providing measurable inputs into processes, standards and operational plans for ABC & International Marketing.The role acts as the key E&C strategic business partner and compliance advisor, providing counsel, specialist input and expertise across ABC, recognized as the subject matter expert (SME) in E&C. As E&C SME the incumbent is responsible for E&C risk assessments including directing the maintenance of obligations to controls mapping and supporting the business in developing controls to mitigate issues through the issues/risks management process.Responsible for implementation of internal and external E&C standards to business practices, programs, and processes for ABC & International Marketing.Provides ongoing E&C risk advice and guidance regarding application of internal and external (code, regulatory, legal, other) standards to business practices and programs and impacts from regulatory and business changes.Ensures consistent oversight and E&C standards for ABC & International Marketing.Ensures implementation of policy and internal obligations of the function in accordance with global/regional direction or changes in local regulations, business conditions or from events that may impact the E&C requirements of the functions globally.Leads the execution and delivery of compliance training programs and works with ABC & International Marketing to implement.You will not only identify requirements and provide inputs to training materials with E&C subject matter expertise, but support development of E&C content for training programs for ABC & International Marketing, liaise with Legal Operations and Services to develop training communications and materials for impacted stakeholders, and ensure adequate visibility of compliance program initiatives.Responds to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and Standards of Conduct by evaluating or recommending the initiation of investigative procedures. Ensures the process for handling of such violations is in accordance with the global investigation playbook. Includes support to compliance investigations (including Global Speak Up Hotline investigations).Responsible for supporting ABC & International Marketing in effective third-party onboarding and due diligence processes as part of the broader Third-Party Risk Management. Collaborates closely with the EREC Monitoring & Assurance team to assess ways of implementing E&C monitoring controls in ABC & International Marketing projects and initiatives.Monitors regulatory activity and legislation as well as enforcement, environment, trade and business news, competitor activity and industry trends and related information/materials to proactively anticipate, or swiftly react to changes in business conditions or events that may impact CSL's E&C requirements in conjunction with the CECO and E&C Leadership.Proactively engages and partners with E&C, EREC, Legal and Business colleagues.You will build and maintain a strong partnership and collaboration with E&C officers responsible for US and International.

Your Skills & Abilities:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management or Law; advanced degree preferred12+ years of progressive experience in compliance risk management.Demonstrable compliance experience, ideally in a multinational company; pharmaceutical, life sciences or manufacturing background preferred.Knowledge of pharmaceutical/ healthcare law, regulations, and codes of conductPractical experience of implementing compliance projectsFluency in English (both in oral and written communication), knowledge of other languages is a plus.Excellent written and spoken communication skills, including strong presentation skillsStrong stakeholder management and interpersonal skillsExpertise as to healthcare and/or pharma laws, regulations, standards, codes of conduct impacting compliance program requirementsHealthcare or pharma compliance program regional standardsStrong analytical skills with the ability to develop and apply pragmatic solutions to complex compliance / E&C mattersSelf-motivated, self-starter, results orientedCommitment to being part of a global team, including required meetings at nontraditional work hoursAbility to work in a cross-functional, cross-cultural matrixed environmentStrong negotiations and drafting skillsUnleashes outcomes and creates an environment of decision making and appropriate risk takingIgnites agility and creates a nimble environmentCultivates talent and takes proactive steps to secure future talentExcellent networking skills and ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate and influence executive leadershipInspires the future and ensures teams buy into the strategyStrong business acumen and judgment.Strong communication and stakeholder influencing skills.Builds bridges and empowers One-CSL teams.
