An experienced ethics and compliance manager on our dedicated team of legal professionals will work with a fantastic group of ethics and compliance professionals, both at the corporate office and across Textron’s global locations, to advance Textron’s leading ethics and compliance program.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Reporting on Textron’s ethics and compliance program to Textron’s executive leadership teamMonitoring and managing reports made to the Textron HelpLine, our reporting hotline, and ensuring that all reported matters are appropriately investigated and documented in a timely mannerCoordinating annual ethics and compliance risk assessments and managing the ethics and compliance team’s contribution to Textron’s organizational risk-management systemServing as the subject matter expert for our hotline and online training platforms, with the ability to assign access, run reports, create training modules and certifications, troubleshoot issues and train new personnel on the platformsPreparing for and leading informative and engaging Ethics Compliance Working Group meetings with compliance professionals from across the global organizationManaging our annual compliance certification and training campaignsDeveloping, launching, and analyzing the results of our periodic culture of compliance surveyServing as an ambassador for the enterprise ethics and compliance program to Textron’s Business Unit personnel, including assisting them in preparing their annual action plans, assigning training, and responding to reportsManaging our day-to-day relationships with our various compliance vendorsMaintaining an awareness of new developments and decisions relating to ethics and compliance topics and communicating those new developments and decisions to the broader enterpriseServing as a subject matter expert in the areas of meals, gifts, travel, entertainment, conflicts of interest and similar areasProviding informative and engaging live training on assigned compliance topicsConducting internal investigations, as required, and preparing investigation reports of findings and conclusions with respect to the matters investigatedManaging and overseeing the work of a compliance specialist/analystPerforming other duties as necessary or assigned

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business, legal studies, risk management, or a related fieldThree years of relevant work experience with ethics and compliance program management in an industrial or manufacturing (non-healthcare) environmentUnderstanding of regulator expectations, legal and regulatory risks, and best practices associated with corporate compliance programming in a manufacturing / industrial businessCertification in compliance (CCEP, LPEC) is desirable but not requiredKnowledge and experience with government contracting and defense industry initiatives a plusPrior experience with compliance audits or internal investigations preferred

Skills/Competencies:

Strong interpersonal skills and customer-service focusExcellent written and oral communication skillsComfortable with use of Microsoft Office suite of products and software that supports compliance program management and dashboards / reportingComfortable interfacing with senior managementAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyAbility to prioritize multiple tasks based on relative importance and urgencyDrive to deliver quality results on time and in a highly professional mannerAbility to inspire trust and confidence throughout corporate and multiple business units

Work Environment:

This is an in-office position that allows for regular engagement with the team to foster collaboration, collegiality, and communication. Occasional travel is required.
