ETCH Principal Technician Process Engineering
Develops and modifies process formulations, methods and controls to meet quality standards Typically performs one or more of the following in capacity of either an individual contributor (as directed and/or independently), or as a manager:
• Create, analyze and review technical charts
• Develop and modify process formulations, methods and controls to meet quality standards
• Establish SOP (Standard operating process) and FMEA (Failure mode and effects analysis) for related process
• Review product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules
• Integrates equipment and material capabilities to meet process module and technology specifications
• Drive CIP (Continuous improvement plans) to improve process performance indices
• Work with cross functions teams to deliver organizational goals • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements
• Work and collaborate other projects and/or assignments as needed

Summary of Role:

This role is intended for our Malta site Fab 8, a 300mm leading edge semiconductor manufacturing facility. As a Process Technician, you are accountable for monitoring, sustaining, and improving the process workstation performance in your assigned area. This is done in conjunction with the production and equipment personnel. Process Technicians monitor workstation performance, manage detrimental issues and/or deviated processes, and make incremental changes to influence the flow of in-progress product through their assigned areas. You are responsible for keeping processes in the production line running at optimal efficiency while operating under the constant pressure inherent to a lean production facility.

Essential Responsibilities Include:

Monitor, control, and test equipment and product for manufacturing readinessFollow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasksTroubleshoot equipment interruptions, process and factory systems errorsReview Statistical Process Control charts for product quality and react to Out-of-Control conditions including defect troubleshootingComplete relevant event documentation and effectively communicate end of shift pass downsDevelop, update operating procedures, support and engage in training activitiesActively participate in continuous improvement projects, learning and skills development Continuous use, learning of new software and factory system applicationsWork independently and collaboratively with teams in a fast-paced environment.

Required Qualifications:

Education: High School Degree (or equivalent)2 Year Technical/Associates Degree in Science, Math, Engineering, Semi-Conductor Manufacturing or a related discipline or equivalent military training/experience or equivalence  Experience: At least 6 years direct experience working in semiconductor manufacturing or in semiconductor tool/equipment/facilities maintenanceTravel Requirements: Minimal travel Language Fluency: English (Written & Verbal) Intermediate reading and writing comprehension skillsIntermediate computer navigation skills - (i.e.Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook)Able to work in a cleanroom environment wearing required clean room clothing per semiconductor protocol/requirements.Able to work in a standing position for an extended period of time (during a 12-hour shift) Able to lift equipment and tools when performing maintenance activities (above 50lbs requires a two-person lift) Flexible and willing to work any shift (3-4 days alternating weeks during day or night shift)

Preferred Qualifications:

Education - 2 Year Technical/Associates Degree in Science, Math, Engineering, Semi-Conductor Manufacturing or a related discipline or equivalent military training/experience or equivalence  6+ years direct experience working on ETCH toolsets in semiconductor manufacturing or in semiconductor tool/equipment/facilities maintenanceStrong technical skills and knowledge of semiconductor processing and process equipmentAble to operate computer interfacing systemsAble to follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks and required documentation; demonstrate solid work performance in an environment requiring high level of attention to detail and timelinessProficiency with software applications and Microsoft OfficeStrong written and verbal communication skills.Strong planning & organizational skills.

Expected Salary Range

$54,200.00 - $110,300.00
