Job Title: Construction Estimator

We’re looking for a detail-driven Construction Estimator to join our expanding team and play a key role in shaping competitive bids for heavy civil and infrastructure projects. If you have a strong grasp of construction methods, materials, and labor costs—and know your way around HCSS HeavyBid—this is an opportunity to make a direct impact on high-value projects across the region.

What You’ll DoDevelop comprehensive cost estimates using HCSS HeavyBid, covering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractorsReview plans, specifications, and documentation to produce accurate quantity take-offs and pricingWork closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to align estimates with real-world conditionsSource and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure competitive pricingMaintain and refine cost databases, crew libraries, and historical benchmarksAttend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and walkthroughs to assess scope and riskSupport bid proposals, schedules, and value engineering strategiesCompare actual costs to estimates and use insights to improve future accuracyStay informed on industry pricing, trends, and technologiesWhat You BringBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experienceProven experience estimating heavy civil or infrastructure projectsStrong understanding of construction drawings, specs, and contractsExcellent analytical and organizational skillsAbility to meet deadlines under pressureClear communication and collaboration skillsBonus SkillsExperience with other HCSS tools (HeavyJob, HCSS Safety)Familiarity with DOT bidding and public worksASPE certification or similar credentialsScheduling software experience (Primavera, MS Project)Why Join UsDiverse project portfolio ranging from $50k to $52MCollaborative team of 60 professionals, including 12–15 in-office staffFocused on utility construction, water treatment, drainage, electrical, and gasSupportive environment with room to grow and refine your craft

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $170000.00/hr.
