We have an outstanding career opportunity for an Estimator to join a leading Company located in the Elkridge, MD surrounding area.
Salary: $70,000 - $90,000
Our ideal Estimator will work closely with our sales department to assist in generating quotes for architects, general contractors, and support architects and designers in their process of building spaces that utilize our solutions. Candidates will possess a strong business acumen, understand operational excellence, and have a proven track record of estimating in interior construction. The candidate needs to be able to manage multiple tasks, be very detail-oriented, curious, dedicated, and dynamic.
Responsibilities:Collect project information from architectural plan sets and clientsEstimate material cost, generate quotes, assist in sourcing pricing for installation utilizing our in-house estimating software (training provided)Collect intelligence on projects to help close opportunitiesCoordinate all aspects of a project's sales with the client, project managers, and productionMaintain schedules and meet every deadline
Basic Hiring Criteria:Bachelor's Degree in a construction-related fieldMinimum 3 years of experience in Construction and/or Manufacturing environmentExperience in glazing/dry-wall/general contracting/demountable glass partition is a plusFluent in reading interior non-structural architectural drawings and construction plans (partition plan, door schedule, hardware schedule, etc)Full proficiency working with large Excel spreadsheetsKnowledge of VB / Macro is a plusAbility to communicate with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to express oneself professionally, utilizing both verbal and written communicationsAbility to problem-solve quickly and efficientlyAbility to produce under pressure of timelines and customer demandsAbility to prioritize and work independently on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all key dates are met while maintaining the highest level of quality
